ACSBE Job Depot to Continue Services in Hubbards and Surrounding Areas!
The Acadia Centre for Social and Business Entrepreneurship’s Job Depot is pleased to announce that Employment Nova Scotia has extended their contract until June 2013!
For the past eight years ACSBE Job Depot has been providing employment assistance to local job seekers and employers through workshops, training and one-on-one counselling.
“We are thrilled. This is great news for both our centre and our community,” says Kristy Wagner, Manager, ACSBE Job Depot in Hubbards. “Each year we assist over 100 people find gainful, meaningful employment, as well as posting over 100 local jobs on our job board. We are extremely happy to be able to continue offering this vital service.”
In addition to working with individuals, ACSBE Job Depot has recently partnered with the Aspotogan Heritage Trust and reachAbility to offer “One Step Closer”, a program that covers workplace dynamics and ethics, self-esteem and confidence, conflict resolution, managing change and stress management.
“This training is valuable to everyone whether you’re the CEO of a major corporation or unemployed,” says Shingai Nyajeka, Program Coordinator. “It has been such a positive experience, for both the participants and our organizations; we are looking forward to (hopefully) running another program here in Hubbards in the New Year."
