ACOA funds HR training program in Kings County

Small business owners in Lunenburg, Hants and Kings Countys will have the opportunity to expand their human resource and workforce management skills this January, thanks to a new $90,000 program funded by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.

The program, called the 4Rs of Workforce Development, will build entrepreneurs’ skills in four key areas : Recruitment, Retention, Retraining, and Regulation. Delivered by the Acadia Centre for Social and Business Entrepreneurship, the program will include a wide variety of human resource experts and practitioners.

To complete the program and receive their certificates, participants will be required to attend eight workshops beginning in late January 2010. The cost to take the training is $250 for each participant.
