Integration of Entreprneurial Development
What better way to achieve this feat then through integration of entrepreneurial development in the education system…
We have a vision that one day an entrepreneurial development pathway will exist for all Canadian youth, starting in elementary school and carrying through consistently in secondary and post-secondary education.
Our hope is that entrepreneurial skill development will happen from the earliest age possible, thereby fostering productive and self-sufficient members of society: The people who will create change and betterment for themselves and for their community; the individuals who will seek solutions to pressing and urgent societal and economic problems and will take action to remedy them; and the folks who will have the tenacity to see things through.
And we believe that these ‘individuals, people and folks’ that we talk about can be anyone - regardless of where they live, their race, their gender or social class. Entrepreneurial skill develop can assist anyone in any life circumstance. We’re talking about getting youth to know themselves, know their capabilities, abilities and interests, and to chart a course with this knowledge in hand. And the way in which they will chart their course will be in an entrepreneurial way – with a focus that exudes creativity, initiative, innovation, and all within a strong aptitude in decision-making, and a desire to take responsibility of actions taken.
