On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ron Robichaud as Executive Director of the Acadia Centre for Social and Business Entrepreneurship (ACSBE) effective immediately. After a comprehensive search the interview panel and Human Resources Committee are confident that ACSBE will benefit from Mr. Robichaud’s leadership and guidance.

ACSBE Welcomes New Business Counsellor

ACSBE is pleased to announce that Catherine Oliver has joined our team in the position of Business Counsellor.  Catherine discovered ACSBE through the Targeted Initiative for Older Worker’s Putting Experience to Work program.  After a long career in consulting and a much shorter one in “retiring”, Catherine was looking for a change and new challenges. When the position of Business Counsellor became available, Catherine applied and instead of a work term, took on a full time position bringing her extensive experience in Business Plan development and Project Management to the ACSBE team.

Mr. Greg Kerr, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Member of Parliament for West Nova was joined by Ron Robichaud, ACSBE Managing Director, and Amie Haughn, ACSBE's Director of People Development to announce the Youth Access program in Berwick, Nova Scotia.

BERWICK, NOVA SCOTIA, January 21, 2010—Local youth who face barriers to employment will get job-preparation training and work experience through the Government of Canada’s support for an employment project.
